Kathmandu. NIC Asia Bank has requested its customers to update the Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Email Address in their bank accounts. The bank has requested this for the purpose of linking the details of tax withheld from the accounts of the bank’s customers to the Permanent Account Number System issued by the Inland Revenue Department.
Customers can update their PAN by tapping on the ‘PAN update’ option on the bank’s portal or mobile banking app. You can apply for PAN update in your account from any branch of NIC Asia Bank.
It has also been informed that the bank will not be liable if the interest is not submitted in e-TDS due to non-updation of PAN by the customers and after that additional adjustment in interest tax has to be made.
In order to update the email address of the bank, customers need to tap on ‘My Profile’ in the bank’s video KYC or mobile banking app and choose ‘Change Email’ option. You can also apply to update your email address from the branch office of the bank of your choice.
In addition, the bank has requested to contact the nearest branch office or customer contact center in case the details of tax deduction is not included or the email address is not updated even after providing PAN earlier.
