Kathmandu. Beni Hydropower Company has started issuing initial public offering (IPO) to the locals of the project-affected areas and the Nepali migrant workers taking labour permit.
After this, the company will issue an IPO for the general public. Bonny Hydro, owned by Ganesh Karki, chairman of the Independent Power Producers’ Association of Nepal (IPPAN), had a net worth of Rs 112.43 per share as of mid-January. Similarly, the company’s earnings per share stood at Rs 21.17 crore and profit stood at Rs 10.34 crore.
The company has forecast its financial position for the next three years. In the fiscal year 2082/083, the net worth per share of the company is expected to be Rs 108.87, earnings per share of Rs 16.34 and profit of Rs 92.24 million.
Similarly, the net worth per share of the company is estimated to be Rs 125.36, earnings per share of Rs 16.49 and profit of Rs 263.725 thousand in the year 2083/084. Similarly, the net worth per share of the company is expected to reach Rs 144.68, earnings per share of Rs 19.32 and profit of Rs 46.46 million in the year 2084/085.
The company is developing 19.80 MW Upper Solukhola Hydropower Project in Solukhumbu District, Solu Dudhkunda Rural Municipality-2 and 3.
The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs 3.85 billion. The project cost per megawatt is Rs 194.705 million. The tenure for return of general investment of the project is 5.78 years.
Among the major shareholders of the project, Lhaku Sherpa has 5.77 percent, Pushpa Chitrakar 7.61 percent, Beni Infrastructure Investment Pvt Ltd 9.05 percent, Sitaram Timilsina 1.20 percent, Narendra Raj Bartaula 1.20 percent, BG Group 3.73 percent, Lhakpa Geljen Sherpa 1.20 percent, Pugeljen Sherpa 3.63 percent and Wonbo Wan Company 7.79 percent.
Lakpa Tenzing Sherpa owns 1.20 percent, Mohan Kumar Dangi 2.56 percent, BIG Investment Pvt Ltd 3.85 percent, Sonam Tsering Sherpa 8.85 percent, Dil Prasad Shrestha 1.20 percent, Ang Phurba Sherpa 1.26 percent, Karma Dorje Sherpa 2.68 percent, Sonam Chhambe Sherpa 1.20 percent, Raj Kumar Khatri 1.29 percent, Pemba Gelbu Sherpa 1.50 percent, Tsering Sherpa 1.33 percent, Yun Maharjan 3.08 percent and Yug Jung Karki 2 percent ।
Saman Manandhar is the director of Beni Infrastructure Investment, which invested in the company.
Ganesh Karki and Batu Lamichhane have been appointed as the Chairman and Directors of BG Group. Krishna Prasad Sigdyan, Kanhaiya Lal Gupta, Binod Kumar Timilsina, Dhruba Kumar Upreti and Khagendra Prasad Upreti are the directors of the company.
Mr. Ram Kumar Rai is the Chairman of B.I.G. Investment Pvt. Ltd. and Prithivi Raj Rai and Binod Budathoki are the directors of the company. The chairman of the company is Dilip Kumar Dio and Anil Maharjan and Shalikram Poudel are the directors of the company.
Yug Jung Karki is the chairman of Yuga Holdings Pvt. Ltd.
Ganesh Karki has been appointed as the chairman of the company. Similarly, Hirendra Man Pradhan, Y Kumar Shrestha, Sonam Tshering Sherpa and Pemba Gelbu Sherpa are the directors of the company. Karki owns 0.21 per cent share, Pradhan 7.79 per cent, Shrestha 0.60 per cent and Pemba 1.50 per cent.
