Kathmandu. Major highways across the country have been obstructed due to landslides triggered by incessant rainfall in the past few days.

The inner dirt road section at Salakpur of Rong rural municipality-6, Ilam, Chaukidanda of Namobuddha municipality-6, Ghumaune of Roshi rural municipality-7, Ghumune and BP Highway at Charsayabesi has been completely obstructed on Monday night.

However, the Beni-Jomsom road section at Annapurna rural municipality-3, Jalthale and the mid-hill highway at Lamjung Madhyanepal municipality-10 have been obstructed due to floods on April 28, he said. ”

Police have urged the people to travel safely and cautiously while traveling on the obstructed and one-way highways as there is a high risk of flood and landslide during the rainy season.
