Kathmandu. The stock market rose on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week. On Tuesday, the NEPSE index increased by 22.21 points to close at 2,777.58 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Float Index increased by 2.78 points, while the Float Index increased by 1.36 points and the Sensitive Float Index increased by 1.01 points.
Although the stock market rose today, the transaction volume decreased. Shares worth Rs 5.61 billion were traded on Monday and 11.3 million units worth Rs 5.26 billion were traded in 61,527 trades on the day.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 12 sub-groups have increased while the indices of one sub-group have fallen. Among them, the index of the finance sub-group increased the most by 6.03 percent.
Shares of Kalinchowk Hydropower Ltd were traded at positive circuit level today. The company’s share price rose by 64.90 paise to close at Rs 498.20.
Similarly, the share price of Central Finance has increased by more than 13.5 percent and the share price of Crest Micro Life Insurance has increased by 10.5 percent.
Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Ltd is in the top position on the basis of turnover. The company’s shares worth Rs 46.76 crore were traded today.
