310 families get land ownership certificates in Dhanusha’s Mithila 10 years after survey completed

Kathmandu. The Survey Office, Dhanusha, has distributed land ownership certificates to 310 families after 10 years of the completion of the survey. The land ownership certificates were distributed to 310 families of Mithila Bihari Municipality Ward No. 3.

Former Mithaleshwar Mahuwahi Ward No. The survey of Swawasi land falling under 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 was completed in the fiscal year 2072/73.

The process of distributing land certificates was halted for a long time due to lack of public participation required for land registration. According to the Survey Office, Dhanusha, 310 land ownership certificates were distributed to the land that had been mapped by the Commission in the past.

With the receipt of the certificates, the family, who have been living as indigenous people for a long time, have formally acquired the legal ownership of their land.
