Finance Minister’s 21-point reform plan boosts stock market by Rs 48.57 billion, transaction volume rises to Rs 8.29 billion

{{TAG_OPEN_div_22} Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle unveiled a 21-point action plan on capital market consolidation and revival last week. The NEPSE index rose 48.57 points to close at 2,633.62 points in Tuesday’s trade as investors were enthused by the Ministry of Finance’s action plan.

Along with the market index, the transaction amount has also increased significantly. Shares worth Rs 8.29 billion were traded in the market today (Tuesday) as compared to Rs 4,68,86,82,303 on Monday.

TAG_OPEN_div_18 The government has unveiled a 21-point action plan with the objective of improving the capital market, increasing investor confidence and making the market more systematic and dynamic. The plan has been seen to have a positive psychological impact on the market.

Among the indices of non-life insurance sub-groups, the indices of non-life insurance sub-groups increased by 2.82 percent. Similarly, the indices of finance, investment, life insurance and other sub-groups increased by more than 2 percent today. The indices of banking, development banks, hotel and tourism, hydropower and microfinance sub-groups have increased by more than 1 percent.

The share price of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, which was traded in today’s trade, was trading at a positive circuit level. The share price of the company has increased by 14.96 percent today. Similarly, the share price of Sindhu Bikas Bank has increased by 11.03 percent.TAG_OPEN_div_14

TAG_OPEN_div_12 Reliance Spinning Mills is at the top position in terms of turnover today. Shares worth Rs 32.7 crore were traded today. Investors were attracted by the announcement of a 30 percent cash dividend distribution by the company.
