Kathmandu. Siddhartha Bank has paid Rs 1,72,67,324 as salary allowance to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the last financial year.
The amount was paid to the two CEOs of the bank.
The bank has paid Rs 89,15,924 to Sundar Prasad Kandel as annual leave allowance and vehicle allowance. Similarly, the bank has paid Rs 8,351,400 to CEO Rameshwar Prasad Basyal.
The bank has paid Rs 48,49,845 as salary, Rs 16,64,827 as allowance, Rs 1,234,396 as Dashain allowance, Rs 4,50,000 as annual leave allowance and Rs 7,16,855 as vehicle allowance.
Similarly, the bank has paid Rs 51,58,400 as salary, Rs 21.08 lakh as allowance and Rs 10,85,000 as vehicle allowance.
The bank has been charging Rs 25,000 annually as internet and newspaper bills to the CEOs and Rs 3,000 per month as telephone charges.
Drivers, maintenance and fuel have been provided and vehicle loans have been provided for vehicles.
In the case of managerial level officials, the bonus is as per the provisions of the Employee Service Bye-Laws and Human Resource Policy-Bonus Act and Provident Fund Contribution-Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Accident Insurance as per the Labor Act, as provided in the Employee Service Bylaws and Human Resource Policy of the Bank. The amount is to be paid only by deducting tax on salary, allowances and facilities as per the prevailing law.
Similarly, the bank paid Rs 1,26,86,145 to the directors in the last fiscal year. The bank has paid Rs 18,63,000 as directors’ allowance. Similarly, the bank has spent Rs 26,64,202 as hotel and daily travel allowance, Rs 10,80,000 as newspapers and communications, Rs 10,006,000 as board level committee meeting allowance, Rs 54,57,103 as training expenses and Rs 6,15,840 as other expenses.
The chairman of the bank provides Rs 20,000 as meeting allowance and Rs 17,000 as meeting allowance to the director.
