Kathmandu. The Education (Eleventh Amendment) Regulations, 2083 have been sent to the Ministry of Finance for approval.
As per the proposed provision, the secondary level first grade teachers can buy vehicles up to Rs TAG_OPEN_span_8 5 million and the second grade teachers will be able to buy vehicles up to Rs 4 million.
Similarly, teachers of all grades of secondary, third grade, lower secondary and primary level can buy two-wheelers up to Rs 400,000.
The regulation provides that the government of Nepal will bear the installment interest up to 80 percent of the cost of the financial arrangement for the purchase of vehicles through the bank. The teachers will be able to manage the remaining 20 percent of the amount themselves and buy vehicles.
As per the provision, the government will bear the installment interest determined by the concerned bank for the duration of the teaching service.
