Kathmandu. On the second trading day of the week, the stock market rose on Monday. Today, the NEPSE index rose by 9.19 points to 2,631.48 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index rose 1.95 points, followed by the Float Index by 0.77 points and the Sensitive Float Index by 0.81 points.
Although the stock market has increased today, the amount of share trading has decreased compared to the previous day. A total of 14.17 million units of shares worth Rs 6.38 billion were traded on Sunday.
Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, the index of nine sub-groups has increased. The index of the remaining four sub-groups has decreased. Similarly, the index of production and processing sub-group rose the most by 1.63 percent. Similarly, the index of microfinance sub-group has increased by about 1 percent. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index of finance, hotel and tourism, hydropower and other sub-groups declined slightly today.
Shares of Rapti Hydro and General Construction were traded at positive circuit level today. On this day, the share price of the company increased by Rs 32.48 to Rs 358.10. Similarly, the share price of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Financial Institution has increased by more than 9.5 percent and that of Bin Nepal Laghubitta Financial Institution has increased by more than 9 percent. The share price of Panchakanya Mai Hydropower has fallen the most by 4.92 percent during the day.
In terms of transaction amount, courage energy is at a high position today. Shares worth Rs 365.39 million of the company were traded. Similarly, shares worth Rs 315 million of Sanima Mai Hydropower were traded today, while the transaction amount of Butwal Power Company has crossed Rs 305 million.
