Kathmandu. The meeting could not be held as the board members of the Securities Board of Nepal were busy.

The board had called a meeting of the board of directors on Monday. According to sources, the meeting could not be held as some of the operators were not present on the pretext that they were too busy.

Gokarna Awasthi, a representative of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has been recalled. The federation has not sent another member.

ICAN representative Nil Saru Magar is abroad. Nepal Rastra Bank representative Rewati Prasad Nepal and expert director Bhola Dhungana did not attend the meeting. Board spokesperson Niranjan Ghimire said that the meeting could not be held as the directors were not present due to the work arrangement.

There were proposals in the board meeting to proceed with the process of licensing the new stock exchange.
