Parsa. Before digging the deepboring, it is mandatory to inform the District Disaster Management Committee and take recommendation with permission.
A meeting of the district disaster management committee chaired by Parsa Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal today decided to take permission from the committee before installing deepborings.
CDO Aryal said that it has been made mandatory to take permission to control the digging of deepboring in the district in a haphazard manner. “At the same time, the Agriculture Knowledge Centre has decided to submit facts, figures and details to the committee as per the requirement after assessing the status of paddy sowing, the condition of the plants after planting, and the loss suffered by the farmers who suffered losses due to failure to sow,” he said.
Assistant Chief District Officer of Parsa Babulal Regmi informed the meeting that nepal and India have not received water as per the written agreement and commitment regarding the water of Gandak Canal.
“It has also been decided to monitor the status and status of the water currently distributed from the Gandak canal,” he said, adding, “It has also been decided to monitor the population benefited from the deepboring installed at various places including urban areas of the district and the present condition of the borewell.” ”
According to him, the meeting decided to form a consumer group committee with the participation of the locals in the places where the deepboring has been installed and make arrangements to install electric meters in the name of the committee and facilitate the work by the Nepal Electricity Authority and ward chairmen ÷ facilitate the work.
Assistant CDO Regmi informed that a nine-member committee has been formed under the coordination of District Coordination Committee Chief Niranjan Sah Sonar to solve the problem immediately by making necessary coordination and facilitation in the works related to drinking water and irrigation at the district level.
Chiefs of Underground Water Resources and Irrigation Development Division, Chief of Narayani Irrigation Management Office, Chief of Agriculture Knowledge Center, Chief of Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office, Chief of Nepal Drinking Water Corporation Birgunj Branch Office and Chief of Birgunj Distribution Center of Nepal Electricity Authority will be members of the committee.
Similarly, chief member of federal drinking water and sewerage management project and administrative officer of District Administration Office, Parsa, Vinay Gupta will be the member secretary of the committee. The meeting also decided to approve and implement the Action Plan prepared to cover 14 different activities.
