There is a Vedic tradition of worshiping Goddess Siddhidatri every year on Ashwin Shukla Navami i.e. the last day of Navratri.TAG_OPEN_div_34 This goddess is called Siddhidatri because she grants salvation to the seekers. She is also known as Siddha as she is served by Siddhas, Gandharvas, Yakshas, Suras and Asuras. She is considered to be the last goddess of the Navadurga Gan.
Goddess Siddhidatri is worshipped today
{{TAG_OPEN_div_30} On the first day of Navratri, on Monday, September 20, the Jamara of barley was kept in the Dashain Ghar or Puja room according to the Vedic rituals. On the same day, Shailputri, the first goddess among the nine goddesses, was invoked and worshiped at Ghatasthapana. Goddess Brahmacharini was invoked at the place of worship on the second day, September 22, and on the third day, September 22, Goddess Chandraghanta was worshiped with devotion.
