Bow. Chhath Puja has officially begun in Mithila from today. The ghats of Janakpurdham are being decorated for Chhath, the biggest festival of Mithila. Works like Gangasagar, Argaza Sir, Dasharath Lake, Dhanush Sagar, Matkorawa Pokhari are also being carried out.

Harinarayan Gupta, president of Gangasagar Chhath Samiti, said that similar to the past, half of Gangasagar is being decorated after this year. He said that the arrangements for the cleanliness and decoration of the ghats are better than in the past.

Gupta said that this year the price has been fixed at Rs 600 per offering. “Not everyone does,” he said. Even those who don’t give are here. It cuts 300-350 rupees every year. The money received from the devotees will cover the cost of its management. ”

The work of installing pandals at the ghat of Gangasagar is in the final stage while the work of illuminating the twinkling lights is still pending. Three committees are involved in the decoration work of Gangasagar.

Similarly, Birendra Karna, secretary of the committee that is constructing the Chhath ghat in Argajasar, said that they are already preparing for the ghat after the Dashain festival. He informed that work is currently underway for decoration and cleanliness.

Karna said that not only Hindus but also some people from the Muslim community live in this pond. “Karna has been taking money from those who place the offerings at the ghat and there is no pressure from those who keep the offerings, we urge them to provide financial support,” he said.

Coordination has also been made with the police for maintaining peace and security. More than five thousand trees live in this pond and it increases every year. Since the festivals celebrated in the Mithilanchal region are completely dependent on domestic production, the wheat and rice produced in one’s own fields are arranged, washed, washed, ground in the mill at one’s own house and the flour is used to make Chhath items.

Similarly, there is a crowd of people buying various items used in this festival. Bamboo and clay products are being sold everywhere in the markets of Janakpurdham. The demand for bamboo and clay products has increased in the market as they are considered pure during the Chhath festival. The Mithilani people are now busy buying clay pots, elephants, bamboo baskets, anglo, kansupati and other items.

The four-day-long Chhath festival is set to begin from tomorrow. During this four-day festival, the farmers have to go hungry for two days without food and water. The first day of the festival is ‘Nahay-Khaye’. On the second day, on Sunday, they will fast all day and eat kheer at night after offering it to the deity. This method is called ‘Kharna’.

Similarly, on Monday, on the main day, dishes made from the flour of agricultural grains, including thekuwa, bhuswa, banana pot, clay elephant, soup, kansupati, pot with urn are arranged in a clean and pure manner. Similarly, on the last day of the Chhath festival, the festival will conclude by offering oblations to the rising sun in the morning.
