Stock market declines by Rs 4.5 billion

Kathmandu. The stock market fell on Monday, the second trading day of the week. On Monday, the NEPSE index decreased by 5.80 points to close at 2,560.29 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 1.05 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.50 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.34 points.

Along with the stock market, the trading volume has also decreased. Shares worth Rs 4.51 billion were traded in the market today, compared to Rs 4.90 billion on the previous trading day.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of three sub-groups have fallen. The indices of the remaining 10 sub-groups have decreased. The hotel and tourism sub-group index increased the most by 1.64 percent on the day. However, the indices of the investment and trade sub-group increased slightly.

Share prices of 4 companies traded at positive circuit levels today. Shares of Daramkhola Hydro Energy, Sagar Distillery, Bungal Hydro and Mabilung Energy were traded at the positive circuit level on the day. Similarly, the share price of City Hotel has increased by about 10 percent today. The share price of Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd fell by 10 percent today.

Today, NRN Infrastructure and Development is in the highest position on the basis of transaction amount. The company’s shares worth Rs 48.88 crore were traded on the day. Similarly, the transaction amount of Union Hydropower has crossed Rs 25.5 crore today.
