Let’s go to Kathmandu. The Office of the Council of Ministers needs to facilitate, coordinate and monitor to remove Nepal from the ‘grey list’ related to anti-money laundering. Prime Minister Sushila Karki said this while addressing a meeting of the progress review and ministry-level development problems resolution committee here today.

She also informed that the meeting held a review of the progress of the first quarter of the programmes run by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and its subordinate bodies in the fiscal year 2082/83 and the issues presented in the meeting of the Ministry-level Development Problems Resolution Committee.

According to Karki, the chief of all the bodies concerned should prioritize and expedite the works to be carried out during the remaining period of the current fiscal year as the expenditure percentage of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and its subordinate bodies was not satisfactory till the review period of the current fiscal year.

Similarly, due to damage to public structures and property due to vandalism and arson during the Genji agitation on September 10 and 24, some of the works that should have been completed during the review period have also been affected.

In this context, she said that a situation has arisen where all the civil servants have been compelled to deliver service-seeker-friendly service and service as per the aspirations of the Genji movement with high morale to achieve the set goals set for the current fiscal year.

Likewise, the Prime Minister directed the Office of the Council of Ministers and all the agencies under the government to take responsibility to achieve the targets set by the government within the stipulated timeframe as per the approved annual programme, action plan and milestones for the current fiscal year.

She also ordered the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to update at the earliest the details of the damage caused to the buildings of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, including other physical and physical damages, due to the vandalism and arson in the context of the Genji movement.

She said that since the electronic procurement system is a sensitive issue related to the procurement of public bodies, there is a need to complete the procurement of IT equipment required for the upgradation of the system on time.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki has also directed the Ministry to make necessary facilitation on the issues that have been sought from this office and its subordinate bodies in the Ministry of Finance and make necessary arrangements for providing the opinion on time.

In the context of the government’s commitment and commitment to building a well-governed and corruption-free nation, Prime Minister Karki has directed the National Vigilance Centre to take further initiatives to monitor and monitor whether the works and activities carried out by the public bodies are impartial, fair, smooth and service-friendly.
