CG Group of Company pays Rs 25.59 billion revenue to state

Kathmandu. CG Group has paid Rs 25.59 billion in tax to the state in the last fiscal year.

The tax paid by CG is 2.3 percent of the total revenue. Amidst various challenges, CG Group has paid the amount to the state. Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal was speaking at a programme on ‘Reforms in Revenue System:

Public Private Dialogue’ organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) here today.

One household paid 2.3 percent of the total revenue as tax.

Nirvana Chaudhary, managing director of CG Group, said that the Finance Minister specially mentioned the tax contribution of CG. “Although there is no provision to honour the lump sum tax of Group of Companies, I am grateful to the Honorable Finance Minister for specifically mentioning the tax contribution of CG,” he wrote on Facebook.

Last year, CG paid Rs 25. It contributed about 2.3 percent of the country’s total revenue, paying $59 billion in taxes. I am proud to be able to strengthen the country’s treasury in the midst of challenges. ’
