Global IME Bank launches ‘Paddy Farming Loan’ scheme on the occasion of National Paddy Day

Kathmandu. Global IME Bank has launched paddy cultivation loan on the occasion of National Paddy Day.

In the budget statement for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS of the Government of Nepal, the bank has made public the rice cultivation loan with the objective of supporting the strategy taken to make the country self-reliant in paddy within the next two years.

Under this scheme, farmers will get a loan of up to Rs 2 million from the bank to purchase paddy seeds, chemical and organic fertilizers, agricultural equipment and other necessary agricultural materials. This loan scheme has been made public to encourage the farmers by increasing the income of the farmers by cultivating paddy to utilize the cultivable land.

On the occasion of National Paddy Day, the bank has organized paddy transplantation in the area near Radha Krishna Temple in Tokha Municipality-1 with the participation of bank employees and locals.

On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Regmi said that the bank has been organizing such programs to increase the production of paddy as per the government’s strategy, to increase the morale of the farmers by modernizing and commercializing agriculture.

He expressed the belief that the rice cultivation loan announced by the bank today would also encourage the farmers to cultivate paddy and also help in increasing the production of paddy. Keeping in mind the convenience of its customers, the bank has been benefiting the customers by bringing various types of time-relevant plans.
