Kathmandu. Gokarna Awasthi has been recalled from the Board of Directors of Securities Board of Nepal.

The board had a representative from the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). As per the provision, the Federation had recommended Awasthi as a member of the board of directors of the securities board.

There was a provision to have a representative of the Federation as a board member. According to the same arrangement, he was the director of the board.

In the bill to amend the Securities Act 2063 BS, it was proposed not to have representatives of the mentioned institutions in the board of directors. According to this arrangement, he has been called back.
