Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRMA) has said that 12 districts of western Nepal are at high risk of heavy rainfall on Sunday and Monday.
NrA spokesperson Suren Sunar said that according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, a special bulletin has been issued in different parts of western Nepal about the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall and on this basis, these 12 districts are more vulnerable.
According to him, there is a risk of heavy rainfall in Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Doti, Achham, Kailali and Kanchanpur of Sudurpaschim State, Surkhet, Dailekh and Salyan of Karnali Province, Banke, Bardiya and Dang of Lumbini Province. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the high hilly region of other provinces.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, heavy rainfall occurred at some places of Pyuthan, Doti, Baglung and Kailali in the last 24 hours. At present, it is cloudy throughout the country and rainfall is taking place in some places.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly region of Karnali Province, Sudur Pashchim Province and Lumbini Province till Monday morning. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of other provinces.
