114 drug cases registered in Parsa in one year

Birgunj. Parsa: There has been an increase in the registration of drug trafficking cases in Parsa. A total of 114 drug-related cases have been registered in the district in the current fiscal year.

It is said that the activities related to drug smuggling have increased due to the open border with neighboring India, which is 107 kilometers in the district.

According to Parsa Police Chief Gautam Mishra, a total of 151 people, both domestic and foreign, have been arrested for their involvement in drug trafficking till July 15 of the current fiscal year.

“A total of 98 Nepali men and six Nepali women have been arrested for their involvement in drug trafficking,” he said, adding that 45 foreign nationals and two foreign women were also arrested in the same period. ’

Parsa: The District Police Office, Parsa has seized 1,561 kg of marijuana in the current fiscal year. Similarly, 625 kg of hashish has been seized. Police also recovered 384 grams of brown heroin and 1.5 kg of opium.

Similarly, 1,433 ampoules of phenargan, 4,499 ampoules of diazepam and 4,464 ampoules of nurfin have been seized. Similarly, 289,274 tablets of Tramadol have been seized.
