Chitwan. Ichhakamana rural municipality has handed over houses to 45 Chepang families. According to rural municipality chair Dan Bahadur Gurung, the houses were constructed at a cost of Rs 31.96 million.

According to him, seven house TAG_OPEN_div_14 s in ward no. 1, five in ward no. 2, five in ward no. 3, six in ward no. 4, five in ward no. 5, eight in ward no. 6 and nine in ward no. 7 have been constructed and handed over.

A program TAG_OPEN_div_12 was organized in the house constructed to hand over the house to Kamala Chepang at Khairhanitar of Ward No. 4 and handed over the house to all the families. On the occasion, Chief Guest Narayan Prasad Adhikari, Chief of District Coordination Committee, Chitwan, said that houses should be constructed for the poor families of rural areas respectively.

Rural Municipality Chair Gurung said that the executive has decided to construct the houses for the families selected by the wards. TAG_OPEN_div_10 In the last fiscal year, 22 houses were constructed, while in the current fiscal year, the number of houses has been built twice.

The majority of Chepangs live in Ichhakamana, which is mostly mountainous. Rural municipality vice-chair Maya Silwal, ward chair and locals were present on the occasion.
