Kathmandu. Gunde Lake is one of the nine lakes in Pokhara. The lake is located at Lekhnath of Pokhara Metropolitan City-26 and has an area of 4.98 hectares.

Gum, a plant used to weave gundri, is called Gunde Lake because it is found. Due to lack of protection, both the lake and the lake are in crisis.

Locals say that it is suitable to develop the lake as a habitat for birds as there is a grassland around it. In the summer, the birds of the Terai region come to the lake to escape the heat and in the winter season, the birds of the mountainous region come to the lake to escape the winter.

However, due to lack of conservation, the number of birds coming to the lake has started decreasing.
