Kanchanpur. Krishnapur Municipality on Monday handed over disaster relief materials to the police to assist in disaster management. Municipality Mayor Hemraj Ojha handed over disaster relief materials to five units of police in the municipality.
According to Mayor Ojha, raincoats, torchlights, ropes, gamboots and other materials have been handed over to all the five units of the police. Each unit has been provided with five groups of disaster relief materials.
Rescue materials have been provided to riot police battalion at Bank, Area Police Office Gularia, Police Post Vani, Gajraula, Raikwar Vichwa and Ward No. 1.
Mayor Ojha said, “The police have been deployed in the front row during the disaster, the materials provided help during the rescue, the police can help the victims quickly by using rescue materials in case of a disaster. ’
Prem Bogati, chief of the disaster section of the municipality, said that adequate budget would be provided to provide necessary disaster relief materials to the police in the coming fiscal year.
