Spain. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in Spain on the sidelines of the 4th International Conference on ‘Finance for Development’, participated in a high-level side event on the flow of water and sanitation financial resources at the initiative of heads of state and government co-hosted by Nepal and Burundi.
Addressing the meeting, PRIME Minister Oli called for linking drinking water and sanitation with human dignity and civilization and not just the development goal as it is a basic human right. Stating that many people of the world are facing public health problems due to lack of drinking water and sanitation, he said that it could be solved through joint efforts.
“The world can be made clean drinking water and sanitation. Nepal is fully committed to this. We have kept access to clean drinking water and sanitation as the fundamental right of the Constitution for every citizen. Although the implementation of this right is challenging, we will fulfill it with the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’,” he said.
