Kathmandu. Pashupati Dayal Mishra, the then chairman of Karnali Development Bank, has been arrested.

A team of Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Mishra while he was walking on the road in Nepalgunj this afternoon.

According to CIB spokesperson Yubaraj Khadka, Zoeka Mishra has been arrested in connection with the bank fraud case.

Mishra is the third person to be arrested in the case. Earlier, the bank’s founding chairman Rajendra Bir Rai and the then finance chief Dev Prakash Singh Thakuri were arrested.

The three arrested persons are being investigated in Nepalgunj under the leadership of CIB DSP Dan Thapa. It is said that other people are also likely to be arrested in this bank scam case.
