Kathmandu. More than 550,000 foreign tourists visited Nepal in the first six months of 2025. Most of the tourists are Indians.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board( NTB), a total of 577,689 foreign tourists visited Nepal in the first six months of 2025. A total of 583,011 tourists visited Nepal in the same period last year.

According to the data released by the Board, the highest number of foreign tourists visiting Nepal is from India at 147,839.

Similarly, 58,326 US tourists visited Nepal in six months. A total of 52,514 Chinese, 28,956 Bangladeshi and 27,068 British tourists visited Nepal.

A total of 22,095 tourists from Australia, 17,634 from Thailand, 15,432 from Sri Lanka, 14,455 from Germany and 12,726 from South Korea visited Nepal during the period.
