Kathmandu. The stock market rose on Thursday, the last trading day of the week. On the last trading day of the week, the NEPSE index rose by 9.41 points to 2704 points on Thursday. The stock market had reached 2,706 points on April 15. The stock market was around 26 points after April 15.
Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, the index of eight sub-groups has increased on this day. The index of the remaining five sub-groups has decreased. The index of finance sub-group has increased the most by 4.09 percent on this day. Today, the index of life insurance and non-life insurance sub-group has increased by more than 2 percent, while the index of development bank and mutual fund sub-group has increased by more than 1 percent. On this day, the index of trade sub-group fell the most by 1.29 percent.
Similarly, shares worth Rs 9.64 billion were traded on Thursday. Shares of Nepal Finance were traded at a positive circuit level on Thursday. The share price of the company rose by Rs 63.2 to Rs 694.20 per share. Shares of Khanikhola Hydropower Company and Samriddhi Finance have increased by more than 7 percent today. Saptakoshi Development Bank’s share price fell the most by 10 per cent during the day.
Butwal Power Company is at the top position in terms of transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 316.8 million of the company were traded on this day. Shares worth More than Rs 270 million of Sahas Urja and Rs 260 million of Saptakoshi Development Bank were traded today.
