Kathmandu. The Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee (MCA-Nepal) has welcomed the united states government’s decision to continue the implementation of plans under the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

On Wednesday, the US government welcomed the decision taken by the US government to continue implementing mcc under a special exemption in the context of the suspension of US foreign aid.

MCA-Nepal said it is working closely with MCC to implement compact activities, including completion of procurement process related to construction of 297 km power transmission line and road repair.

MCA-Nepal is continuing the construction of three substations and 18 km cross-border transmission line that had already begun the review of foreign assistance. It is committed to completing these infrastructure projects that will have a significant impact on the development of Nepal’s energy and transportation sectors. MCA-Nepal has expressed its gratitude for MCC’s continued partnership to implement the compact.
