Kathmandu. The Maharajgunj Chappal Factory under the second section of the ring road expansion is running at a slow pace. Although the Division Road Office, Minbhawan, had signed an agreement with M/S Ambuja-Kali SK JV in February 2081 to complete the project by 2082 Ashadh, the work has not been completed within the stipulated time.

The 700-metre road from Maharajgunj Chowk to Chappal Factory will be 10-lane with service lane. At present, work is underway to install curvestones and construct drains in chappal factory chowk area under the expansion of the road.
