Kathmandu. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Adhikari has distributed more than 700 land parcels in Palpa and Sunwal.

Around 500 people were distributed parts in Rampur and around 200 people in Sunwal of Nawalparasi under the coordination of Sunwal Municipality and Land Problem Resolution Commission District Office Nawalparasi.

On the occasion, Minister Adhikari shared that the Ministry and the Land Commission were continuously working to find a long-term solution to the land problems and unsettled residents across the country. Minister Adhikari said that within the next six months, 70 percent of the landless people will get the land.

Member of the House of Representatives Narayan Prasad Acharya, State Assembly member Raju Prasad Shrestha and Director General of the Survey Department Prakash Joshi were also present on the occasion. Minister Adhikari, Central Chairman of land problem resolution commission Hari Rijal, lawmakers, Mayor of Sunwal Municipality Bimala Aryal and people’s representatives and locals were present on the occasion.
