Kathmandu. The BP Highway, which was devastated by the floods in September last year, is unlikely to return to normal. Although the contract case has been forwarded by dividing the road into four sections for the reconstruction due to the roshi rivulet washed away the road, the work has not progressed much.
At present, vehicles have been diverted and made a temporary route, but there is no condition to travel safely. If there is heavy rain, there is a risk of flooding and washing away the road again.
There is also a risk of landslides in some places. There is a problem of dust blowing in the sun and getting stuck in the mud when it rains.
It has also been made special to drive vehicles in the evening on the road for the next one month due to the increased risk of rain.
