Kathmandu. A delegation of Malaysia-Nepal Business Council called on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today to discuss the possibilities and opportunities for investment in various sectors in Nepal.
During the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, a 20-member delegation led by Executive Chairman of Paradise Group Company, Malaysia, Pradeep Kumar Kukreja (Dato) informed that they are visiting Nepal to establish meaningful business and relations between the two countries and to understand nepal’s business environment in detail.
Stating that the government has been carrying out legal and structural reforms to encourage and facilitate foreign investment for Nepal’s prosperity, pm Oli urged investors to invest in Nepal. He said the government would always cooperate with the entrepreneurs on what kind of reforms and facilitation were needed in the coming days.
The delegation said that they are keen to work in nepal in the areas of plastic treatment, information technology park, tourism etc. During the meeting, the possibilities of investment in tourism, agriculture, information technology, human resources, textiles and various sectors in Nepal were discussed.
The nepali delegation, which was in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal in Malaysia, had arrived in Kathmandu on June 17 on a three-day visit. Pm’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal and Economic Affairs Advisor Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada were present on the occasion.
