Kathmandu. Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. Kathmandu: Minister for Agriculture and Industry, Bishwanath Poudel, has said that the monetary policy is being formulated to uplift the agriculture and industry sector.

Governor Poudel said this at a pre-monetary policy programme organized by the Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEJON). He assured to bring monetary policy keeping the problem areas in priority.

He argued that there was a need to increase the non-performing loans.

“Npl is more in agriculture and industry sectors, more NPL has been seen in the sectors where we wanted more credit,” he said, adding, “We are discussing to bring our policy accordingly.” ’
