Rupandehi. Rupandehi: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Janardan Yadav, ward chair of Rupandehi Marchwari rural municipality-3, with rs 300,000 as bribe.

A team from the Office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Butwal arrested Ward Chair Yadav and Vipin Kumar Pandey, proprietor of Shree Ganesh Trading at Siddharthanagar Municipality-9, according to NHRC spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel.

Ward chair Yadav used to ask for commission for recommending payment of various schemes run in the ward. Poudel said that he had taken Rs 300,000 through Vipin Kumar Pandey. Spokesperson Poudel said that further investigation is underway by keeping both of them under control.
