Kathmandu. Rasuwa: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the government was working on a war footing to rescue the people affected by the floods in Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers along with Lhende rivulet of Rasuwa due to heavy rainfall in the border areas of Tibet.
Prime Minister Oli also shared that instructions have been issued to ensure that there is no let up in the efforts made by the government in the rescue operation through social media today.
“At this sad moment, I am taking regular reporting from the security agencies about the rescue operations going on in the affected areas by postponing the scheduled programmes except for essential ones,” pm Oli said. Government agencies are carrying out rescue operations. I look forward to everyone’s cooperation in this regard. ‘
Prime Minister Oli said that he had received sad news of some civilian deaths and some missing persons due to floods and causing huge physical damage. He paid tribute to the people who lost their lives in the floods and expressed sympathy to the people suffering from the disaster.
