Rasuwa. Kathmandu: Nine persons have been rescued from the massive flood in Lhende rivulet on the Nepal-China border last night. Of the 37 missing persons, 22 are safe while the remaining 15 are incommunicado, assistant CDO Drubab Prasad Adhikari said.

According to the Home Minister’s Secretariat, helicopters are ready to rescue the missing and trapped people. Rescue operations have become difficult as helicopters could not fly in the sky of Rasuwa due to inclement weather. The helicopter has been kept ready at Trishuli in Nuwakot.

Similarly, two persons who were trapped in the high flow of trishuli river due to a heavy incident at Lhende rivulet on the Nepal-China border last night have been rescued safely. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, two people trapped in the flood have been rescued safely by a Helicopter of the Nepal Army.
Palden Tamang, 67, and his wife Mangali Tamang, 62, of Lovedanda Milan Chautara of Bidur Municipality-1 in Nuwakot were trapped in the flash flood in Trishuli due to rain in China. Both of them have been rescued safely by helicopter, the NRA said in a statement.
More vehicles washed away in Lhenda rivulet, damage to hydropower
Rasuwa: Around seven to eight vehicles were washed away at the EV charging station at Timure of Gosainkunda rural municipality-2 in Rasuwa district last night.
According to the Armed Police Force Nepal, the flood damaged the yard of the Customs Office, Rasuwa and washed away eight to nine loaded container coaches there.
It has also been informed that most of them have damaged the dam of Rasuwagadhi Hydropower. A team of 21 personnel, including seven trained under the command of Assistant Police Inspector Rabindra Dahal, has been deployed from the Armed Police Force Rasuwa, said Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Force Shailendra Thapa.
A team deployed with rescue materials is trying to reach the site of the incident as the flow of Bhotekoshi continues. According to the police, the Miteri bridge has been washed away by the flood of Lhenda rivulet.
The Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road section along the Pasang Lhamu Highway at Tatopani of Rasuwa Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-2 has been obstructed due to landslides and road erosion caused by the bhotekoshi river.
