Nepal-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry discusses investment in metro rail with UK investors

Kathmandu. The Nepal-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has held discussions with uk investors in London on the issue of investing in metro rail in Nepal.

President of Nepal-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Santosh Chandra Kunwar said they held discussions with investors from the UK and Germany. The meeting was jointly organised by the Embassy of Nepal in London and the Society of Nepalese Engineers UK, kunwar said.

Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Sushil Gyawali and President of Nepal German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Santosh Chandra Kunwar participated in the discussion. Chief Executive Officer of The Investment Board Sushil Gyewali said that there is a lot of potential in transport infrastructure in Nepal and requested to invest in metro rail in Nepal.

Urging the Investors of Nepal, German Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the UK to move forward by jointly raising investment, he made it clear that the Investment Board would fully guarantee the security of investment in this sector. In the meeting, CEO Gyawali clarified about the provisions of investment and said that nepal now has a good investment environment and there is a possibility of good returns.

Subodh Timilsina, an engineer at the Society of Nepalese Engineers UK, shared his experience along with the complete blueprint of metro rail. Nepal’s Ambassador to the UK Chandra Ghimire said that there is a great opportunity to invest in metro rail in Nepal.
