Chief of Agriculture Knowledge Centre, Bara, Raj Narayan Prasad Sah, shared this information. The farmers are selling the paddy at Kalaiya market at Rs 2,200 per quintal.
Last year, it was sold at rs 3,000 per quintal. According to him, farmers have cultivated rice of different varieties in 18,000 hectares of land.
Ganesh Mahara, an economist at the Krishi Gyan Kendra, said that the farmers cultivated chaite paddy on 16,000 hectares of land.
