Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon wind is currently under the influence of monsoon winds across the country and the low pressure line of the monsoon is around the normal place.

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today. According to the Division, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudur Paschim provinces. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous region.

Similarly, it will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudur Paschim provinces and at a few places of other provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini and SudurPaschim provinces. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

Stating that there is a risk of floods, landslides and landslides due to the possible rainfall, the Division has urged the general public of these areas to be cautious as there is a risk of inundation in the urban and Tarai areas. The general public and all concerned bodies have been requested to take necessary precautions and make preparations as the water level in large and small rivers and rivulets may rise, affecting daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, roads and air transport around the river areas.
