According to Waling-14 ward chair Bodh Raj Kunwar (Raju), the landslide occurred near Dumrebhanjyang of Waling municipality-14 in Syangja district due to heavy rainfall since last night.
Due to the landslide, passengers travelling through this road have been stranded. It is raining and landslides with stones are continuously falling from the road. A dozer has been called to open the road, he said.
He also suggested using Dumrebhanjyang-Dhikidanda-Tamadi road as an alternative as it would take some time to open the road. The Bhumre-Hatemalochowk road has been obstructed due to landslides, especially during the rainy season.
