Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has presented the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2019/20. The metropolis has allocated Rs 25.11 billion for the fiscal year 2082-83 BS.

Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol presented a budget of Rs 25.11 billion for the upcoming fiscal year. She said that 51 percent of the budget has been brought for infrastructure, 20 percent for education, health and social sector and the rest for other sectors.

Mayor Balen Shah presented the policy and programme at the beginning of the meeting. Deputy Mayor Dangol presented the budget as soon as the policy and program were passed. Mayor Balen had called an executive meeting on Friday, six months after the Kathmandu Tower map pass controversy began.
