Kathmandu. Chandragiri Municipality has approved a total budget of Rs 2.93 billion for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS. The 16th session of the municipal assembly has allocated Rs 1.22 billion in current expenditure and Rs 1.70 billion in capital expenditure. Municipality spokesperson Krishna Prasad Khadgi presented the budget and programmes in the meeting.

Mayor Ghanshyam Giri said the budget and programmes for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS have been approved by a majority and expressed the belief that the budget would address the demands of the city dwellers. Making it clear that the budget was implementation-oriented, he called for the prosperity of the city through consensus, cooperation and unity.
