Capital expenditure in Chitwan is only 77 percent in fy 2081/82

Chitwan. Only 77.85 percent of the budget allocated by the federal government in the fiscal year 2081/82 has been spent for the development of the district.

Of TAG_OPEN_div_34 the Rs 10.04 billion allocated for capital expenditure, Rs 7.82 billion has been spent. According to Purnabhadra Poudel, information officer at the Fund and Accounts Control Office, Chitwan, 96.22 percent of the budget has been spent in the current fiscal year.

Of TAG_OPEN_div_32 the rs 13.56 billion allocated, only Rs 13.54 billion has been spent.

Out TAG_OPEN_div_30 of the eight offices allocated by the federal government for the development of the district, the budget for intensive urban and building projects has been frozen a lot. Of the budget of Rs 3.29 billion allocated to the office, only Rs 2.13 billion has been spent, he said.

The government had added Rs 500 million at the last minute to this office, which has increased the budget to freeze due to lack of budget expenditure. Similarly, rs 975.43 million has been spent on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section out of rs 1.38 billion allocated for capital expenditure.

He informed that out of rs 1.16 billion allocated for the road division office TAG_OPEN_div_26, only Rs 1.02 billion was spent.

President Chure Conservation Development Committee Implementation Unit Bharatpur, Narayani River Management Project, Federal Drinking Water and Sewerage Management Project, among others, have spent less than the allocated budget. TAG_OPEN_div_24

Similarly, 88.18 percent of the capital expenditure allocated by the Bagmati state government in the district has been spent. TAG_OPEN_div_22 Of the Rs 1.99 billion allocated by the state government in the district, Rs 1.61 billion has been spent.

According to Rajendra Kumar Darai, information officer TAG_OPEN_div_20 at the State Accounts Unit Office, Chitwan, only 83.46 per cent of the current expenditure has been spent. Of the Rs 1.62 billion allocated, only Rs 1.36 billion has been spent.

TAG_OPEN_div_18 The provincial government has spent 82.26 percent of the total allocated budget in the district. Among the offices under it, less of the budget allocated for capital expenditure through the Infrastructure Development Office has been spent. Of the Rs 1.01 billion allocated for the office, only Rs 749.498 million has been spent.
