Kailali Customs collects Rs 8.66 billion revenue in one year

Kailali. Kailali Customs Office Dhangadhi has collected rs 8.66 billion in revenue. The customs office collected the revenue during the one-year period from Mid-July to Mid-July of the fiscal year 2081/82 BS.

According to Khim Prasad Aryal, information officer at the Customs Office, only Rs 8.66 billion or 77.67 per cent of the annual revenue collection target of Rs 11.16 billion has been collected in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS.

According to him, rs 3.23 billion has been collected from customs duty, Rs 3.23 billion from value added tax, Rs 214.4 million from excise duty and Rs 1.98 billion from others.

According to Information Officer Aryal, the revenue collected in the fiscal year 2081/82 was Rs 575 million, Rs 538.4 million in August, Rs 672.4 million in October, Rs 627.8 million in October, Rs 811.3 million in December and Rs 658.7 million in December.

Similarly, rs 730 million was collected in February, Rs 727.6 million in February, Rs 781.4 million in April, Rs 818 million in April, Rs 871.3 million in May and Rs 856.9 million in June.

The office could not collect revenue as per the target in the previous fiscal year 2080/81 BS. Information Officer Aryal informed that only Rs 7.91 billion revenue has been collected against the target of Rs 11.58 billion in the previous fiscal year. Which was only 68.36 percent of the annual target.
