Kathmandu. Similarly, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka said the Arun III hydropower project would benefit the people of Sankhuwasabha.
Minister Khadka, who reached his home district Sankhuwasabha today, said that the Arun III project under construction in sankhuwasabha district in the energy sector would come into operation soon and it would benefit the entire country including the district.
He said the sankhuwasabha people would also benefit from the power generation of more than 5,000 MW in Sankhuwasabha. Minister Khadka clearly presented the upcoming plans focusing on various issues including infrastructure, energy, health, roads, irrigation and sanitation in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Khadka said that the government has worked to raise the head of the people of the district. Minister Khadka said, “I have worked in such a way that the head of the people of Sankhuwasabha is high, I will not do anything wrong or against the law, I will proceed with all the works in a transparent and lawful manner.”
Minister Khadka shared that works are underway for improvement of Chatra-Leguwa road, allocation of budget for hospitals, drinking water and irrigation projects under road expansion.
CpN (UML) district chair Khadga Rai, Rastriya Swatantra Party district coordinator Bhakta Narayan Shrestha, CpN (Maoist Centre) chair Dibyaraj Baral, NC acting president Ananta Gauli, Khadbari municipality mayor Mahesh Thapaliya and leaders and cadres of various political parties were present on the occasion.
