Kathmandu. Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company has earned more than Rs 5 billion in insurance premiums in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS.

Apart from foreign employment term life insurance, the company has increased the first insurance premium by 61.06 percent in traditional life insurance itself. The company has earned Rs 116.14 crore as first insurance premium this year as compared to Rs 72.11 crore in the previous year.

Foreign employment has increased by 23.81 percent from Rs 84.18 crore last year to Rs 104.23 crore this year. It also earned Rs 280.01 crore in renewal insurance premium this year from Rs 232.12 crore, an increase of 20.67 per cent in renewal insurance premium.

Overall, the company received a total of Rs 388.40 crore as insurance premium last year, which increased by 28.85 crore this year. The company is currently providing its insurance services from 140 branches and sub-branches across the country.
