Kathmandu. Nepal’s trade with other countries increased by 19.24 percent in the last fiscal year 2081-82. According to the Data of the Department of Customs, Nepal imported goods worth Rs 1,804 billion in the last fiscal year. Imports are 13.25 percent higher than the previous fiscal year 2080-81.
In the previous fiscal year, goods worth Rs 1,592 billion were imported. Similarly, there has been a significant increase in exports in the last fiscal year. In the last fiscal year, Nepal exported goods worth Rs 277 billion. This is the highest export in a year.
According to the Department, exports increased by 81.80 percent in the last fiscal year as compared to the previous fiscal year. In the previous fiscal year, goods worth Rs 152 billion were exported from Nepal to various countries.
