Kathmandu. Nepalis have chewed chewing gum worth Rs 246.43 million in a year.
According to the Department of Customs, Nepal imported 476,122 kg of chewing gum worth Rs 246.43 million in the last fiscal year. The state has earned Rs 201.91 million in revenue from the import of chewing gum.
According to the Department, chewing gum is imported from 15 countries in Nepal. Nepal imported the highest amount of chewing gum at 455,488 kg from India. Chewing gum is imported from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, netherlands, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, UK, USA and Vietnam.
