Bangles, grandsons and tika imported from US, 840 million out in one year

Kathmandu. Till mid-June of the last fiscal year, bangles, grandsons and tika worth Rs 84.11 billion were imported.

According to the Data of the Customs Department, plastic bangles and tika worth Rs 78.66 million were imported in the 12 months of the last fiscal year.

Most of these items of plastic are imported from India. India imported goods worth Rs 78.11 million during the period. Similarly, such goods have been imported from China, Qatar, america, Uzbekistan and Namibia.

From this, the government has collected revenue of Rs 10.5 million. Similarly, glass bangles and tika worth Rs 467.82 million have entered Nepal during this period. Most of the glass bangles and tika have been imported from India.

According to customs data, india imported glass and teak worth Rs 465.116 million during the period. Such goods have been imported from other countries like China, UK, UAE, Sri Lanka and Kuwait.

Similarly, in the 12 months of the last fiscal year, the country imported garments worth Rs 294.61 million. From this, the government has collected revenue worth Rs 89.75 million.

A lot has been imported from China. Nepal imported garments worth Rs 234.22 million from China. After this, India is the second largest importer of grandsons. During this period, India imported grandsons worth Rs 1.73 billion.

Similarly, Japan is the third largest importer. According to the Department of Customs, garments worth Rs 35.916 million were imported from Japan.
