Kathmandu. Radha Pokharel, a woman member of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority ( NEA), has resigned from her post following health issues.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel had appointed Pokharel as an expert woman member of the NRA with effect from March 1.

Pokharel said he resigned on Monday due to health problems. “I have been resting at home for some time due to ill health,” pokharel said, adding, “I have not been able to attend the board of directors meeting for a long time.” He resigned after he failed to attend the meeting and also complained of some health problems. ’

He said that the post of expert woman member should not be kept vacant in an important regulatory body like THEA as he could not give time due to health reasons and other people could come and work there.
